Easy Steps on Applying Dracula Makeup

A hair-raising, terrifying Dracula look is not complete without a Dracula makeup. You may have a great and complete set of costume—a flowing cape, long-sleeved shirt, pants, and shoes. But you’d still look like a human who just happened to wear a Dracula outfit if you don’t wear a Dracula makeup. This vampire makeup consists of a pale, corpse-like complexion and hollow cheekbones.

Just like in putting regular makeup, the facial skin must be moisturized first. Before you apply makeup for a would-be Dracula, scrub some cleansing lotion or cream all over the face and wipe them off with tissue.

Face:

You have two options: white base makeup and white face powder. If you’re using a base makeup, mix it with a small amount of black or green face paint for a pallid effect. Use a sponge or your fingers to smoothen the base around the face. Begin at the center and work your way down around the neck, around the ears, and up into the hair line. Some people prefer face powder because it is easier to apply and remove. Put the powder across the face using a brush or powder puff.

Eyes:

Use a black eyeliner to make the eyebrows darker and thicker, as well as to detail the shape of the eyes. Put the eyeliner above and under the eyeline as you would when you do regular makeup. If your budget allows it, you may want to purchase contact lenses that look like vampire eyes.

Cheeks:

The Dracula makeup should not highlight the facial bones to achieve the hollow effect and to shift focus on the eyes and mouth. To create a devil, gaunt look, put a shade using a dark gray eyeshadow along the temples and under the facial bones. When you work along the facial bone, start from the ear to the base of the jaw line.

Lips:

Vampires can have either dark lips with blood dripping down from the mouth or pale lips dabbed with powder. The most popular lip colors for Dracula get-ups are glossy black and bloody red.

Fake Blood and Fake Vampire Teeth:

You can make the fake blood from the mouth look real. Add a few drops of red food coloring to a little corn syrup. To make the blood look real, put a single drop of blue food coloring on the mixture. You can also buy fake blood, but make sure you get only non-toxic and safe ones.

Kids Dracula Costume Ideas

Kids Dracula Costume Ideas – Trick or treating is one of the most fun and exciting adventures for kids every year. Kids get lots of candies and treats. kids draculaA popular Halloween costume choice for kids is the Dracula costume inspired by a vampire movie based on the 1897 novel titled Dracula.

The basic  Dracula costumes include a white long-sleeve shirt with a red or black vest, black pants, and black shoes. Tie a red or black cape with high collar around the neck. Make sure you secure the cape with safety pins at the back of the collar.

You can add some accessories for a more attention-grabbing look: red bow tie, red medallion, and vampire teeth. Be sure that your child is old enough to safely wear the fake plastic teeth.

In addition to the Dracula outfit, your kid’s face must have the pale look just like Dracula’s. You need white base makeup that you will apply on your kid’s face, red face paint for blood drops from the mouth, and black makeup for the area under the eyes and on the eyebrows.

For the lips, you can put either red or black lipstick. Finally, apply some gel or mouse on the kid’s hair and brush it back and off the face. Now, your boy looks like a little Dracula, and he’s ready to join his friends in their trick or treat adventure!

Your little girl can also have a Dracula-like outfit for trick or treats. If she wants to wear a vampire costume, you can dress her up with a Gothic period costume dress. This Gothic vampire costume has a black with maroon or red color scheme.

The only accessories that you must put to complete the vampire look are vampire fangs and a choker. Aside from that, you can also find a bride of Dracula costume designed for kids. This vampire costume is a long black or red dress with a cape that looks like that of Dracula’s. Just like the little Dracula, your little girl needs some makeup to look more like a vampire.

A hit among kids and teens these days is Twilight, a young-adult vampire-romance series. If your boy is an Edward Cullen fan, then you can give him the look he wants. Your little boy can simply wear a dark shirt, jacket, and a pair of jeans. He can also use fake vampire teeth. To give him that unmistakable Edward look, fix his hair to make it look tousled and crazy using a hair gel. It would be more interesting if you can get him a shirt printed with “Edward loves Bella.”

Adult Dracula Costume Ideas

Adult Dracula Costume Ideas – So, you want to be the life of the party this Halloween, and you are a fan of Dracula. Why not suck some blood with your horrifying presence by donning a Dracula costume? For sure, you will turn heads as you walk your way through the crowd.

dracula adult costume-1Halloween parties are a great chance for people to remember the bizarre and terrifying characters of popular and well-loved horror stories on novels and films. Count Dracula, a character that has lived for more than a century, is one of the most unforgettable characters to ever grace the pages of books and the silver screen.

Dracula is a vampire, but he is no ordinary vampire. Unlike the usual gross and vicious vampires, Dracula exudes an elite charm and sophistication that disguise his evil intent. That is why a lot of people would love to look like Dracula in costume and Halloween parties.

You can be the Prince of Darkness and the king of the Halloween party! Basically, your get-up will be a bit formal. All you need are a white long-sleeve shirt, a vest, black trousers, a red bow tie, a red medallion, white gloves, and a cape. The cape can be black on the outside and red on the inside, and you may opt to have either a red only or black only cape. Many Dracula costumes come with vampire fangs and white gloves.

Aside from the outfit, your face should reflect the white, pale complexion of this classic horror character. You can get some red, white, and black face paints to complete your Dracula look. Also, Dracula makeup kits are available in retail costume stores, and these kits may include vampire teeth, headpiece, fake blood, fangs, adhesives, hair color, applicators, cream makeup, and adhesives.

You will apply the white paint all over the face; the black paint under the eyes and on the hollows of your cheeks; and the red paint on the sides of your mouth to create some blood drops.

To create a more evil effect, you can put dark mascara on your lashes and black eyeliner around your eye shape. And don’t forget to fix your hair to imitate that of Dracula’s. Apply some mousse or gel on your hair, part it on the middle, and brush it backwards. You can also create a widow’s peak on your forehead, a feature that’s very prominent on Dracula’s face.

You might be wondering how to make yourself unique because for sure, there are other people out there who might have the same Dracula costume as yours. Well, come to the party with a coffin! Not the real one, though.

You can make a cardboard coffin and leave the top area open so that your entire upper body is visible. To be able to walk around, cut out the bottom part of the coffin. Now, who says Dracula costumes can’t be extraordinary?
